Oak Bluffs, Martha’s Vineyard, MA 2025
Lagoon Pond is my favorite place in the world. A quick and excellent hill bomb down the road from my grandparents’ house in Oak Bluffs, the Lagoon has been my preferred swim spot for my entire life.
On one of my daily walks here I finally decided to paint something on the this mysterious concrete pillbox structure along the shore. I love oystercatchers; these migratory shorebirds can be seen on the Vineyard and in coastal areas all over. Their long legs and long beaks crack me up.
